On the SLII Questionnaire, I leaned heavily towards a supportive style, even putting Supportive for question #1 when the correct response was Delegating. This highlights my natural inclination for an S3: Supporting approach—coaching, empowering, and fostering collaboration.

While this style aligns with my preference to include team members and encourage ownership, I recognize the need to flex as the situation demands. For newer or less experienced hires, I have no hesitation providing clear direction (S1) to ensure confidence and clarity early on. Moving forward, I’ll focus on balancing direction and support while remaining mindful of time, risk, and learning trade-offs.

Ultimately, I aim to empower my team while adapting my leadership to meet their needs effectively.
