No surprise on this old dog, but I can still learn ...
My score was 95 with the following breakdown:
Ability 14
Behavior 16
Process 16
Relationship 20
Skill 9
Trait 20
What I learned through the Conceptualizing Leadership Questionnaire was not a surprise. I am on the trait and relationship side of the leadership.
What I like to do more of as a leader in a workplace might include the following:
a. Paying to attend on the behaviors side. I recently received a "Psychology of Financial Planning Specialist™" certificate. There are a lot of things I could apply using the very basics of human psychology.
b. Ask more questions and listen well. I tend to talk too much, I need to dial it down significantly to listen to what really matters to them.
It’s great to see how you’re embracing your strengths in traits and relationships as a leader. It sounds like you’re really tuned into the value of listening and using psychology to connect with your team on a deeper level. Focusing on behaviors is a smart move, too—it can add balance to your natural style. Plus, being aware of your communication style and aiming to listen more will definitely help you catch what really matters to your team. These changes are sure to boost trust and connection in a big way!
Your results are fascinating Dr. Jolly! Can you unpack the 9 in skill? Did that surprise you? I admire that you know exactly what emphasis resonates with you. My scores were all fairly close.
@tracey "Skills" are something I am so good at, but when I took the survey, I felt it's not important for me at this stage in my career.
