Introduction - Keith Ryniak
Hello everyone,
My name is Keith Ryniak, and I’m excited to join this course with you. I currently serve as the Vice President of Insurance at AAA Minneapolis, where I focus on building out our insurance division with a comprehensive approach to health, life, commercial lines, and property and casualty. Before joining AAA, I spent 27 years with American Family Insurance, where I held various roles, including agent, sales manager, sales director, strategy director, and national sales VP. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of the industry and a strong foundation in both sales and leadership strategy.
On a personal note, I’m a father to three amazing daughters, ages 20, 18, and 14, each of whom brings her own inspiration and joy into my life. We also have a grumpy yet lovable English bulldog, Angus Maximus, who is an important (if not stubborn!) part of the family.
Leadership Position:
In my role at AAA Minneapolis, I lead a dedicated team that delivers personalized insurance solutions aligned with AAA’s legacy of trust and reliability. I focus on strategy, growth, and developing new insurance offerings that meet our members’ needs. My leadership style emphasizes accountability, collaboration, and innovation, and I strive to create an environment where my team is highly engaged and empowered to succeed.
Leadership Aspirations in the Next 3 Years:
Looking ahead, my goal is to step into the Chief Revenue Officer role at AAA Minneapolis. Additionally, I aspire to teach the CPBL designation, supporting the growth of future leaders in our industry. Teaching and mentoring others is a passion of mine, and I believe sharing knowledge is one of the most impactful ways to contribute to others’ success.
Success Indicators in My Role:
Success in my role would be reflected through measurable growth and positive transformations within my team and our agency. Key indicators include reaching a $10 million revenue target, increasing customer retention rates, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. I also measure success through team culture—if my team feels valued, supported, and inspired, and if our clients trust us wholeheartedly, I’ll know we’re achieving our goals.
Keith,
It's so nice to meet you. Thank you for sharing your outstanding leadership roles with AAA and American Family Insurance. I can see how proud you are of your three girls!
Congratulations on the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) role at AAA. What are the aspirations and challenges looking ahead as a CRO that are different from your previous roles? Will the revenue target unintentionally increase the stress for you or your team?
Keith, thank you so much for coming aboard this journey! Interestingly, your goal is for the CRO and to teach the CPBL. That tells me you have a head for business and a heart for people.
I'm looking forward to learning more about that blend.
I look forward to learning with you over the next eight weeks and hearing about your experience in our inaugural cohort. Since this is the first for all of us on this platform, please don't hesitate to reach out if anything is unclear. You will love the content, and we want to ensure the delivery is a great experience. Looking forward to meeting you on Tuesday!

@jollychialichien-com Great questions the biggest change is learning the subject matter in revenue streams other than insurance; travel and membership as an example.
Hi Keith,
It was great to meet you at our session the other night and wonderful to learn about you a little more here. I'm also proud and happy girl-dad as they call us these days! I'm interested in what factors drive customer satisfaction and retention the most and how do you lead your team to address the needs of your clients? Looking forward to chatting with you more over the course of these classes.
Rob
